About the Country
Myanmar has thousands of temples in Bagan alone, spread across a plain that's one of the more striking sights in Southeast Asia, plus Yangon's golden Shwedagon Pagoda and the slower rhythm of life on Inle Lake, with its floating gardens and stilt villages. It's less visited than its neighbors, which for some travelers is exactly the appeal: older cities and rural life without the crowds that come with more established routes.
